Meritor Fundraiser Raises $2,875 for FSMA!
Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 12:39PM | Sarah A dear friend I went to college with organized a Jeans Day, BBQ lunch and Ice Cream Social Fundraiser at her workplace, Meritor.
We made it there for the lunch festivities and even got to help out at the ice cream social. Brielle decided she would like to help by shaking the rainbow sprinkles on the sundaes. She did such a great job and really stuck with the task until the event was over. She got real good drumming up business by yelling, “Ice cream, Ice cream… come and get some ice cream!” Brooke helped shake some sprinkles too but she was more interested in rolling around the parking lot looking for puddles to roll through with her wheelchair. :)
We met so many wonderful people and I think having the girls there really helped bring awareness about SMA to many who had never heard of it before. Thank you to everyone who supported and helped out with this fundraiser!
